Load HEIC Files in Windows 10

Apple’s iPhone and iPad now take photos in the HEIF image format, and these photos have the .HEIC file extension.

Windows doesn’t natively support HEIC files, but there’s a way to view them anyway—or convert them to standard JPEGs.

From Irfanview FAQ
Q: How to load HEIC files in IrfanView?
A: You must install the HEVC extension/codec. If you have Windows 10, you can install it (free) from Microsoft Store.
You need to install 2 extensions from Microsoft Store:
Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer and HEIF Image Extensions.
Or, you can install some other HEIF codec from the internet.
